enjoying my old faithfuls |

It's been a while I last posted my thoughts. This is my first for 2005.
Nobody reads them anyway..
yeah, I am still riding my old faithfuls. At last count, my Virago is 8 years old and my commuter GPZ is already a teenager! No kidding. Like old whiskey, they aged pretty well. Ivan helped me discovered a pretty neat one-man-show mechanic. He infused some new life into my GPZ prior my trip to Penang to join other very Hip Bikers from this part of the world. Got him to check the valves besides cleaning and re-synchronizing the twin carbs, new engine oils and filter. I finally got the radiator water flushed and the tires/rims balanced. My GPZ's very irritating front brake problem is 90% fixed. Overall, my GPZ's mechanical conditions is better than before and it showed when she behaved 100 % during my recent rides to Penang and to Sepang to see Rossi collect his 7th crown. And the roti boxes I installed to my GPZ helped transformed her to a cheapskate tourer. Guess, I would be still riding them a least for a few more years as I have yet to recover from the big vitamins m splash buying and renovating my new home. |
