finally retiring my old faithful

28 July 2006

gee, my ride buddies are starting to make me feel like I am driving an old Datsun 120Y. I been toying to upgrade to a better bike for years. It's just that I could not find the extra resources to pluck down the initial payment and monthly installment.

Thanks to Customs Malaysia, there would be another price hike for imported bikes. Luckily, the current bank loan rates is pretty livable, I think it's the best time to reward myself a new bike. After all, I passed my 40th year living on this planet and I have never own a new big bike in my entire existence. Well, my first new bike was a Honda C70.

Looking around for a decent bike within my limited budget is not difficult. There aren't many bikes that fit into my shallow wallet. The cheapest bike is from Naza staple around RM30k for the fully clothed Blade/GTR 650. Cheap but I simply don't trust that brand. The upper choice would be the new Kawasaki ER6F or 650 Ninja at RM48K but I do not want another vertical twin. So, the next upper choice is the Kawa Z750s introduced last year. So, at RM55K a pop, it's suddenly looking good.

So, with my papers in the bank and my lucky numbers booked,  I awaits my  new ride.
