Genting Ride on a fine Saturday morning 16 July 2011 |
|
It's my personal record for riding up to Genting for breakfast. If you are thinking about some speed record ride, it is not. In a space of 6 days ,I rode 3 times to the hill for breakfast. Blame it on the urge to ride. Frankly, there is no better route to ride. Nice winding road, cool weather making goofing off pleasurable. Wish there a nice mamak 'stall' selling good teh tarik and roti chanai. Frankly, I am getting sick of the breakfast at Coffee Bean. It is not that the food is craps (well, to certain extend it is), I can't bear ordering from the same menu 3 times in a 1 week. Was too glad when David suggested that we go for loh-mee at Batang Kali. Then again, it was the only place where we could park our bikes next to our tables.
It rained throughout the night before. I was not even sure I like to hit to the road if the road was still wet. My house's main road was still damp when I peeked though the window. Thankfully, the sky was bright and cleared of any heavy rain clouds. I figured by the time I get to Selayang, the roads ought to be totally dry up. David got his cousin to join in the ride. Richard rides a beautiful black R1. Chee Leong came along as well.
So, it was that on a fine Saturday morning, the four of us rode up to Batang Kali for breakfast before continuing to Genting for tea and coffee. It was simply the best method to neutralise the stress built up throughout the week
