NSTP - ROLF Wheel Genies 2.0 Charity Ride to Port Dickson

12 Nov 2011

It is a little pay back time for bikers. NSTP with Rainbow of Life Force organise a charity event to distribute goodies to the under privileged boys and girls in Port Dickson. Event starts with an assembly at Balai Berita NSTP at Bangsar follows by a nice breakfast. The convoy with almost 90 bikes proceeds to Eagle Ranch Resort at Port Dickson to meet up with the boys and girls.

The convoy ride is smooth courtesy of some very hardworking volunteer marshals controlling traffic junctions and exits points. Aside a few idiot bikers that defy appointed marshals' instructions to ride in a single lane along the North-South Expressway, most bikers keep to the flow set by the lead marshals. Alas, we hit rain on-route to PD . As in a convoy ride, we press on without stopping to put on rain suits. Stopping would have disrupt the riding.

We reach Eagle Ranch Resort safely around late morning. A lady biker on a Ducati Monster suffers a little tip-over when she tries to turn into the empty field to park her bike. No worries as the guys are super fast to rush to her aid.

The boys and girls are already waiting for the convoy at the restaurant area. I have to say that bikers who participate in a 'charity' ride should show some participations to the cause. A little mingling with the kids costs virtually nothing. It leaves a lasting memory to them as they look up to us.

Nerveless, the organisers come with goodies bags for the kids. Each kid gets a school bag with clothes and shoes and a token 'ang-pow.'

A big thank you to NSTP (Pravin), Kelvin (Bikingasia) and Rainbow of Life Force (ROLF) for showing their big hearts
