Cameron Highlands Sunday Ride

17 Dec 2011

Interestingly, it has been many years David last rode to Cameron Highlands. Since his new job in Vietnam and subsequent return almost 5 years later, David got a bit lost in CH. I don't blame him. CH has seen many developments. I think CH would be slowly losing its charms as a sleeply hill holiday destination. Come weekends or public holidays, the narrow roads would be  pretty much clogged up with traffic. The air is no longer clean and fresh when there are hundreds of cars burning precious fossil fuels. Therefore, it is best to visit CH on non peak holiday weekends or week days

On the other hand, the main roads leading to CH are simply awesome for day ride. Ride up in the morning for some fresh brew Cameronian tea. Then goof off a couple of hours till lunch time. It is very easy to spend 2 hours of doing nothing without realising it

Home by 5-6pm  for dinner

David was amazed with the new Sg Koyan - Ringlet 80 odd km road.  However, the return ride was not so exciting as both of us almost dozed off from our bikes.  The road was clear and dry. Perhaps put the blame on the (too much) good food we consumed earlier in Brinching's OK-Tuck Chinese restaurant (once of the few Chinese restaurants I trust with good food and decent prices)

We stopped again at Sg Koyan for more food and drinks. Somehow, Jr got hungry again and Sr could not resist anything 'chicken' on the menu
