I motored to Ulu Yam with Mohan, David and Oonta. Yes, Oonta came out of biking hibernation. He been riding but I haven't ridden with him for a long time. David came back to get his new passport book and to test out his Cabert flipup helmet he just bought from Sillypore.
David could not decide which of the two Caberts he wanted and hence ended buying the two in a flash. Talking about orang-kaya! Anyway, the helmet does looks good and I love the now-in-fashion internal sunshield as a standard design accessory in the Italian brand. The original plan was to head to Ulu Yam's new town for the famous lohmee. With Oonta joining the ride, we headed straight up to the hills for our usual coffee beans set breakfast. Anyway, it was nice to load up with free flow of coffee or tea that came with the set. value for money There was a beautiful HD XR1200 parked at sideway when we reached our usual breakfast joint. I admit it is a beautiful bike with modern sportsbike ergos. Surprisingly, the bike is owned by Capt Nik Huslan whose previous weapon of choices were mostly BMWs and 2 and 3 wheelers scooters. Who would had imagine Capt rides a Harley We had a good time with David's usual sunny side up stories. Somehow, I missed the other Lee in the group. I need to convince Andy to get his weekend bike in Malaysia. He has been away too long .. but from David's tales of AndyLee's (mis)adventures in Vietnam, he is still the same fun guy. The next weekend ride should be fun with a long way round ride to Taiping. cheers |
