I have not rack up much miles lately as I been plagued by too much events at home. My bikes had been sitting pretty on the porch whist the batteries slowly discharging themselves to death.

I swore the bikes been secretly begging me telepathically me to take them out for spins. I did occasionally ride my Virago to the nearest mamak-shop to buy evening newspaper. I probably do more harm to the battery by cranking more electrons juice out of the battery by thumbing the starter button to jolt that motor up than putting back the charge through riding.

My mail ordered riding pants and gloves arrived weeks ago after a long journey across the  Pacific Ocean. They too need some fresh Malaysian air. Even Malcolm commented via sms that he have not seen me for a while and thought I quit riding. Me quitting and putting motobiking.com into cyber mothballs? Nah! Not that easy to get the riding blood out of my veins. Not even repeated trips to the dialysis center can get rid of it.

I recently installed a Zero Gravity double bubble screen purchased from Sunny Cycle and I was eager to test it to see if my money was well spent. Then again, I liked the new look it given to the bike and I figured it was worth half the price. If it performs as claimed, then the investment would be 100% worthwhile.

First thing in the morning I did was checking the air pressure in the tires. Boy, they were severely under-inflated. Another tell-tale signs of neglect I guess. Fadil and Fara with Mohan were already at the meet-up place when I arrived. Phang arrived shortly followed by Kelvin and Con. I shot up to speed to try out the new screen. The deflected air was no longer hitting my helmet face shield directly. The double-bubble was working well enough to channel in-coming air over the helmet but at the same time allowed more air to flow through my neck which I thought was a little annoying. Final marks 90% ..good enuf. Next mod would be fixing steel braided brakes lines to replace those fat and ugly looking rubber stocker.

The rain over Saturday did an excellent job of washing enough dirt and grime off the road . I felt the tires were gripper than the usual. We had a good blast over to Ulu Yam and to Genting for breakfast. And it felt good to have the riding blood pumped up to the veins around my head again.
