 14 Sept 2008

There always good reason to get up early to thumb that very attractive red colored starter switch to burn some dinosaur remains despite the tempting Sunday morning late sleep in. Fadzil was eager to wear his new mesh jacket. Chin needed the exercise to get rid of his tennis elbow. We started briefly on the wrong foot when we were waiting for Chin at the former ProJet but rebadged as Shell station while Chin was waiting for us at the other Shell station. Fortunately, the traffic was pretty light making the ride pretty fantastic. The four of us arrived at Ulu Yam for breakfast at the old noodle place in double-quick time. The second half of the ride to the top was slower as anticipated. Try riding with a full stomach and you would know why.

Again, the hilltop was like a little bikers’ carnival. The police-for-hired officers are a lot friendlier now compared to a couple of years ago. At least they tolerated us and allowed us to park almost everywhere which was good as bikes are getting more and more and literally fighting for good parking spaces. They probably understand now that we are tourists and contributing to Resort World's earnings. We headed back to KL via the old Gombak trunk road. Fadzil was happy to re-do his pose at the bridge with his new F800S. It seem not so long ago when he did that with his then-new Aprilia Strada. The once busy road is now practically devoured of regular traffic. Needless to say, we had a good time darting around the silly bends and curves
