Kuala Klawang Sunday Breakfast Ride |
5 Aug 2007 |
It was almost a repeat ride to last weekend except that the weather was good with no hint of rain in sight. Chin finally got his 1200GS demo bike for a quick weekend trash. The back roads from Ulu Langat to Jelebu would be perfect for Chin to get acquainted with a bike he was not accustomed to. And true to BMW's claims of the friendliness nature of new GS, Chin got into rhythm quickly and started chasing Fadzil for lead honours. The usually quiet country road was shaken up by Fadzil's bike farting and popping loudly. Chin's bike was fitted with a BMW's factory performance pipe, OEM from Akraprovic. The venerable Boxer twin came alive with a deep growl exhaust sound. Sweet.
We arrived at Kuala Klawang about 945am and to our surprise, Restaurant Fatimah was swarmed with bikers. We opted for a different place to eat as the joint was way too small to accommodate us all. And we probably found a better breakfast joint. Roti chanai served were way better than Fatimah's. Only problem was that it was located along town's busy road and there weren't a lot of available parking spaces for us.
Phang was given the OK to discharge from the hospital early today. We were planning to visit him at the hospital after the morning ride. Never less, we rode to visit him at home instead to give some Bagsters cheers.. Phang was in a good mood despite all wrapped up with the silly arm sling. I guessed he was happy to be home with family after spending three miserable days in the hospital.
