5 - 7 July  2007

  Day 2

Early morning sun rays softly bouncing off the lake’s clear but greenish surface. The calm morning was occasionally interrupted by birds chirping happy tunes. A far cry from the from the hustle and bustle of the city where the city air is probably choked with haze from Indonesia and the only birds singings are at the KL bird-park. I took the opportunity to snap pictures around the resort. I sorely missed my SLR camera as I inadvertently left it at home. It would have produce better pictures than my point and shoot.

We met up at the open cafe area for breakfast. Breakfast was again typical ala carte. Compared to the night before, the service improved tremendously. With the view of the lake as backdrop, the breakfast was a pleasing start to the day.

We arranged for a short cruise around the lake. The resort boasts a private jetty with a 10 seaters boat designed for slow pleasure cruise. The trusty buggy was again called for service to shuttle us to the jetty for a 45 min boat ride. The ride was well worth the RM100 paid.

Time flies when we were having fun. It’s time to get ourselves ready for the our ride to Taman Negara. Incidentally, there is a new link being constructed that would eventually connect Gua Musang directly to Kuala Berang. We would return again when the link is completed. It is scheduled to be opened in September in time for Visit Terengganu Year 2008. I bet It would be another dream bike route.
