We were fortunate to visit the locals there
courtesy of a friend and were given a treat to the local fruits. We also met
the other HOGs
not featured in the movie you guys went to see (Check it out).
It certainly was an educational experience for me
to see how this side
of the world lived and the fotos dont really do justice as you've got to be
here to experience it.
I forgot to mention that this is also the first
time I was taking the AX1 out to test its ride capabilities. Well so far,
the AX1 handled
itself pretty well as it so happened that we did the ride at a time when
there was a lot of road construction going on, meaning-lots of
gravel and un-paved roads to ride on - well suited for duallies.
The AX1 as I said earlier reminded me of Peggy, my ex-Italian girlfriend
back home. Only difference here is that she's a little bit
more "chi-no-nit", small and chilli padi (Just like most of the swelt
looking Vietnamese women here). I thought She handled the
uneven surface very well with her rear shocks swallowing up all the bumps as
we went along .Donald was also impressed as he
had to ride pillion for the other half of the journey back to HCM on the
first day.
On occassions, I thought I was riding a land-version of a JET Ski actually.
The roads were just very uneven...(and if only you could
peer under my full-face helmet to see the grin on my face while riding).
Conclusion - the AX1 passe with flying colors. Will have to see how she
handles longer rides next.
