| It
has been ages I last visited Air Hitam. I used to pass Air Hitam on
route to Sillypore from Batu Pahat. Now with North-South Highway, Air
Hitam has lost much of its lusture as a rest-stop and pottery center for
tourists in passing tour buses.
We made a brief stop Air Hitam to
gas-up before hitting the B-roads to Mersing.

to admit, we got a bit lost in Kluang. We were trying to find the road to
Mersing. Road signs were everywhere but they were a bit confusing.
We finally made our way out of
Kluang to Kahang around late noon. The road to Kahang was quite bad as in
badly designed. Although road surface was relatively smooth, it was covered with dust
probably from lorries making road grip a bit poor. I almost lost my
line when making a sharp bend with David following very closely behind.

Again, near empty
stomachs made us stop one more time. It didn’t take long to hunt down a
coffee-shop in Kahang. We had wan-tan mee. I thought it was OK as I was
used to Johor - style dry noodles. David
thought other-wise.
Afterall, Kahang is sleeply
estate town with two rows of shop lots lining the main street. Probably
impossible to find KL-taste noodle stalls to suite our dear friend.
